The $50 routine notarization fee does not apply to preparing, reviewing, revising or preparing a will. A will may require legal advice, document review and additional professional services.

Please describe whether you require a new will, changes to an existing will. We do not sign Wills prepared by other firms, and we do not sign Wills that we have not prepared. We will review your request and confirm whether we can assist, the appropriate appointment type and the applicable fee.

Preparing, reviewing, revising or witnessing a Power of Attorney involves legal advice and is not included in the $50 routine notarization fee. Before proceeding, we must confirm the document’s purpose, the authority being granted and whether the adult understands the nature and consequences of the document. After reviewing your requirements, we will confirm whether we can assist and explain the appropriate service, applicable fee and next steps.

Depending on the service and the documents being signed, each client may need to meet privately with the Notary Public for part of the appointment. A spouse, partner, family member or other accompanying person may therefore be asked to wait outside the meeting room.

Children cannot attend appointments at this office because the building does not permit children in its professional office areas. If childcare arrangements are unavailable, you may request an appointment at your home or office. Mobile appointments are subject to availability, additional fees and the availability of a quiet, private room.

A mobile service fee of $75 plus applicable taxes applies to appointments within five kilometres of Happy Law Notary Public. Notarization, legal-service, parking and other applicable charges are additional. We will confirm the total estimated fee before the appointment.
